In celebration of the World Arabic Language Day, the Laboratory of the Pragmatic Approach and Discourse Analysis, Faculty of Arts and Languages, in coordination with the House of Artificial Intelligence, has organized the Second National Conference entitled: "The Arabic Lexicon for Artificial Intelligence: Meeting the Need and Enhancing the Status of the Arabic Language." The opening ceremony was presided over by the University Rector, in the presence of the Vice-Rectors, Deans of Faculties, university officers, educators and students from various levels. The conference featured contributions from specialized professors representing universities from across the country, with diverse presentations focusing on the current state and status of the Arabic language in light of the digital revolution and the world of AI.
The University Rector, Professor Dr. El-Kheir Kachi, presided over the opening of the awareness-raising day activities organized by the university’s medical coordination office, in collaboration with the Department of Scientific, Cultural, and Sports Activities, along with the Communication Club and the Stifis Media Club. The university hosted Professor Badr Eddine Zouagha, Sheikh Omar Ben Zouai, as well as physicians and specialists in public health. The event was marked by a notable presence of professors, students, and staff members.
On the occasion of the resumption of its scientific work, the Laboratory for Studies and Research on Human Rights of the Faculty of Law and Politics organized an open meeting attended by professors and researchers from the lab’s research teams, along with students from various levels of the faculty. The event was presided over by the University Rector, who delivered a distinguished lecture entitled: "The International Court of Justice: A Confirmation of Credibility or a Burial of Justice?" During the meeting, Dr. Mouisci Belaid, the former head of the lab, was honored in recognition of his dedication to the university and to scientific research throughout his career at Sétif 2 University. At the end of the meeting, three (03) cooperation and partnership agreements were signed between the university and public and private institutions and bodies, as part of the university’s efforts to engage with its economic and social environment.
