On Thursday, January 23, 2025, the University Scientific Council held its meeting under the supervision of the University Rector, with the participation of the Council members.
The meeting addressed the presentation of the outcomes of pedagogical, research, and postgraduate activities, as well as the progress of international relations, scientific events, international exchange programs, and strategic planning.
The session also included a review of the reports submitted by the local committees in charge of implementing strategic plans and key national initiatives in the higher education and scientific research sector, including (the Strategic Digitalization Plan (SDN), Ministerial Decree Project 1275, the English language initiative, the promotion and enhancement of university visibility, E-learning, the Entrepreneurship Support Center, the Incubator, and the Artificial Intelligence House.
The Council also approved the establishment of joint research teams between university research laboratories as part of the University City initiative.
On January 22, 2025, Mohamed Lamine Debaghine Setif 2 University hosted a working visit from the National Committee for the Promotion and Enhancement of University Visibility.
Mr. Mohamed Hamidouche, a member of the national committee, chaired a working session with the university’s local committee as part of the ongoing support and follow-up for the implementation of the university’s visibility strategy. The meeting was held in the presence of the University Rector and members of the local committee.
The efforts of the local committee to improve the university's ranking and visibility were commended and acknowledged during the session.

All faculty members who serve as principal investigators of formative research projects approved as from January 1, 2023, are hereby informed that the evaluation session for progress-stage scientific reports is now open.
Project leaders are required to submit their progress-stage reports via the University Formative Research Project Management Platform during the period from January 13, 2025 to February 3, 2025.
