Proceedings of the BSN Digital Strategy Office Meeting

On July 12, 2023, a meeting of the BSN University's Digital Strategy Office was held. This meeting was part of the ongoing efforts to implement and supervise the university's SDN digitalization and modernization strategic plan. The meeting was attended by local plan implementation entities, including deputy deans, college secretaries in charge of training domains, branch directors, as well as members of the university's digitalization office and colleges. During the meeting, an overview of the office's activities and the degree of plan implementation at the university level was presented. Furthermore, an action plan was outlined, along with the execution of digitalization programs and projects for the academic year 2023 - 2024, with an emphasis on projects scheduled through the end of 2024.

Launching Educational Podcasts for Digital Educational Content Production (Podcast Pédagogiques):

As part of the implementation of the university's digitalization strategic plan and with the aim of creating digital content to execute Program 01, Project 01, and Program 11, Project Number 05 from the BSN plan, which covers guidance, teaching, and human resources, as detailed in the SDN User Guide, Sétif2 University is launching its first educational audio recording project. This project is directed towards all professors, students, and officials. Initially, it will focus on the fields of law and political science at Sétif2 University and other Algerian universities.

Educational Audio Blog Podcast Named 'let's talk': This project was developed in collaboration with the Distance Learning Unit and the Center for Intensive Language Learning (CAIL), under the supervision and monitoring of the BSN University's Digital Strategy Office.

Coordination Meetings for Monitoring the Implementation of the Digitalization Plan at the University

Faculty of Literature and Languages

Coordination meetings for the BSN University's Digital Strategy Office resumed today at the Faculty of Literature and Languages. All the projects related to the plan were presented, and the necessary statistics were reviewed in the presence of all the officials at the college level, including the Deputy University Director, the Dean of the college and their deputies, department heads, field supervisors, and the college's General Secretary, as well as the interested parties.

 

Faculty of Law and Political Science

As part of the continuous monitoring of the university's digitalization plan and in alignment with the implementation of the ministerial digitalization plan SDN, the BSN University's Digital Strategy Office held a coordination meeting today, May 10th, at the Faculty of Law and Political Science. The aim is to support and assist the colleges in the execution of the scheduled projects, with the participation of all the administrative, pedagogical, and academic staff of the college.

Presentation and Evaluation of the University's Digitalization Operational Plan for the First Quarter of 2023

Professor Dr. Bendjedou Boutalbi, the Deputy University Director and the Head of the BSN University's Digital Strategy Office, presented a report on the progress of the operational plan for the university's digitalization project, RODMAP, during a meeting of the University's Board of Directors held on April 25, 2023, under the supervision of Professor Dr. El Khier Guechi, the University Director. The report included a detailed presentation of the progress and monitoring of the projects (32 projects) distributed among the bodies responsible for execution (15 bodies) at the level of the university's presidency and colleges. The report noted normal progress for some projects, with some completed ahead of the specified schedule, while others experienced delays. In light of this, and with the aim of assisting the entities in charge of execution, it was decided to arrange visits and hold coordination meetings at the college level to gain a better understanding of the project progress. These coordination meetings will follow the schedule below.

• Faculty of Law and Political Science: Sunday, April 30, 2023 - Time: 10:00 AM.
• Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences: Wednesday, May 3, 2023 - Time: 10:00 AM.

In the context of implementing  the university's digitalization strategic plan and monitoring the establishment of distance education at the university, the Distance Learning Unit is persistently conducting training sessions for professors on the utilization and management of this educational approach. The training will run until June 30, 2023, and it will encompass all university professors.

The Strategic Plan for the University's Digitalization 2022-2023

As part of the implementation of the university's strategic digitalization plan for 2022-2024, on February 26, training workshops for administrative and technical staff of the university were launched in the computer lab of the Faculty of Law and Political Science Library. These workshops aim to train the university's staff in the use of various information technology tools and communication programs. The training process is supervised by the BSN University's Digital Strategy Office and will continue until June 30, 2023.

Coordination Meetings for the University's Digital Strategy Office (BSN)

In the context of implementing the strategic plan for digitizing the higher education and scientific research sector, coordination meetings for the Digital Strategy Office were held at the university's headquarters on Wednesday, 11/01/2023.

The meetings were supervised by the Deputy University Director for Scientific Research, the Deputy University Director in charge of pedagogy, and the University's General Secretary. Participants in these meetings included college Deputies, department heads and their deputies, field supervisors, college General Secretaries, sub-department directors, college media and maintenance unit heads, and members of the BSN Office for the University. The following topics were addressed.

1. Presentation of the Strategic Plan for Digitalization at the University for the upcoming phase: 01/01/2023 - 31/12/2024.
2. Defining the focus areas, programs, and projects being implemented at the university, which include 06 focus areas out of 10 programs and 16 projects out of a total of 32 projects.
3. Discussion and adjustment of the operational plan for the implementation of the digitalization strategic plan at the local level.
4. Appointing, specifying, and assigning the responsible entities for plan implementation and adjusting the timeline for each project.
5. Creating a timeline for evaluating and monitoring project execution at the local level.

Working Session and Evaluation of the National Committee for Distance Education

As part of monitoring the implementation of the distance education project, the National Committee for Distance Education, led by Dr. Ahmed Belhani, the Chairman of the National Committee, visited the University of Mohamed Lamine Debaghine, Setif 2. He held a meeting with the members of the local committee for distance education to assess the progress of the process at the university. he meeting was attended by the university's vice presidents, deputy deans, and members of the distance education unit.
