As part of the celebration of Arabic Language Month, the Laboratory of Pragmatic Approaches and Discourse Strategy at the Faculty of Arts and Languages organized the second national symposium entitled: “Modern Approaches to the Translation and Interpretation of Religious Texts between Rootedness and Modernization.”
The symposium was opened by the Vice-Rector of the University in charge of External Relations and Scientific Events, in the presence of the Vice-Rectors of the University, the Dean of the Faculty, and the administrative and academic staff.
The symposium saw the participation of faculty members as well as professors from various national universities, and it witnessed a distinguished attendance of professors and students. The aim of the symposium was to shed light on modern methodologies in dealing with religious texts, discuss the challenges faced by translators in conveying religious meanings, and examine the role of modern technology in making these texts more accessible to readers.
