With the beginning of the new year 2022, the University of Mohamed Lamine Debaghine, Setif 2 continues its dynamics of international research and cooperation.
Today, Monday 03 January 2022, Professor Naouel Abdellatif Mami, the university's vice rector for external relations and project coordinator for Algeria , has participated to the kick-off meeting of a new international research project in a scientific twinship with the University Geneva, Switzerland, on:
"Digitalization of universities in the Maghreb and Switzerland: strengthening the skills of academic staff".
This project, the first of its kind, comes in response to the urgent need of the Algerian Universities to move to a new stage in teaching methods at the level of higher education in line with the requirements of the present needs and preparing for future aspirations.
Over the coming two years, and in partnership with the Universities of Geneva in Switzerland, the Institute of Social Work in Switzerland and the University of Sousse in Tunisia, the University Mohamed Lamine Debaghinr Setif 2 will develop a digital platform and training for trainers for higher education teachers in order to accompany them in enhancing their skills in using digital platforms for Distance Learning.
This methodology, which has become an imperative since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, will become a systematic method of teaching at the higher education level. The University of Mohamed Lamine Debaghine Setif 2 aspires to be a component pole in this field by proposing an accredited training in the use of modern technologies for the digitization of the Algerian university
